Sun Biofuels’ majority shareholders are Trading Emission PLC, an AIM listed clean energy investment company. Trading Emission PLC invests in greenhouse gas emission reduction projects, developed under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Joint Implementation (JI) framework of the Kyoto Protocol, creating tradable environmental commodities for the carbon market, including carbon credits. Projects have and will be invested in worldwide, in a number of renewable energy sectors including wind, hydro, landfill gas, waste to energy, industrial waste and heat recovery, biogas and biofuels.

Trading Emission PLC is managed by EEA Fund Management, a city based fund management group with over $1.7 billion assets under management. EEA manages private equity and carbon assets for both Trading Emission PLC and Green Leaf Energy Company.

Sun Biofuels hosts open day26 - Mar - 2009
Sun Biofuels celebrated the establishment of the first 1,000 hectares of Jatropha today by hosting an open day at the project site in Manica. Vice Minister of Energy Jaime Himede and Presidential Advicer Carlos Simango attended with other dignitaries from the central and provincial government.
