Chairman: Dennis Poole

Dennis was educated at Liverpool University and the Harvard Business School. Between 1960 and 1969 he worked for Unilever Africa and for Cummins Engines. In 1969 he joined Total Group where he has served in a number of positions in Africa and as director of retail marketing in UK (1986-94); as MD & CEO Total South Africa (1994-99) and as President and CEO of Total Outre-Mer in Paris (1999-2002) where he was responsible for all downstream activities for Total, Elf and Fina in Africa, Middle East and Central America and was involved in the integration of Total and Elf operations in 28 countries.

Director: Simon Shaw

Simon Shaw is MD and principal shareholder of EEA Fund Management Ltd, an FSA regulated investment management business formed in 2003. Simon has over 25 years experience in investment markets and extensive knowledge of the financial services industry. He obtained a degree in Mathematics and Statistics before working for six years at Equity & Law. In 1988 he moved to MNOPF/Ivory & Sime and in 1992 took a position at Clerical Medical. After eleven years, Simon moved to EPIC Investment Partners. In 2005 he bought out the equity business he had formed. Simon was a director of City North Group plc until 2005. Simon is also a Director of Heritage Underwriting Agency Ltd and Kalasin Waste to Energy Limited.

Director: Justin Guest

Justin has worked in the carbon industry for a number of years, spending 5 years as a consultant with a leading carbon advisor. He was one of the key personnel managing a Joint Venture with Standard Bank (London Ltd). His responsibilities included the origination and support of Joint Implementation and Clean Development projects in emerging markets. As an Investment Advisor with EEA Fund Management, he is now one of the principal investment advisors to Trading Emissions PLC, to date he has contributed to a range of transactions, including ERPA (carbon contracts), equity and debt based investments.

Director: Julian Ozanne

Born in Kenya, raised in southern Africa, Julian has long and deep political and personal links with Africa. After graduating with an Economics Degree from the London School of Economics (LSE) in 1986, Julian worked as a foreign correspondent for the Financial Times, acting as Middle East correspondent and Africa Bureau Chief between 1987 and 1997. He formed his own consultancy firm in 1994, advising US and European investment banks on business and political risk in Africa, and has worked for the World Economic Forum.
